On Friday I went to Philly for the weekend. Maybe I should have stayed home. Remember Friday? If you live anywhere within 6 hours of me, I am sure you heard it.

The cracks heard around the world.

PB and I were unloading groceries into a luggage cart in front of his building. Have I ever mentioned how annoying it is? We need to jump out of the car, run inside and grab a cart from the lobby, load it up, then one of us has to park the car while the other one pushes the cart upstairs to unload. When we go to the market it reminds me of why I will love a house one day. Oh also…. I think when I move down I will bring my bike and put a fancy basket on it. There is a whole foods right next to the gym, and I plan on biking there almost daily to exercise and pick up the day’s groceries. I am sick of the cart! Anyway, when I went to push the cart away so he could go park the car and I could go unload the cart, I, ahem, dropped one of the bags. No big deal, right?

When I went to unload the goods upstairs, I had a nice mess to work with… a mess 12 times as large as I had suspected. I cracked a dozen eggs. A dozen organic eggs, to be specific.

What do you do with a dozen cracked eggs at 9:30 PM on a Friday after flying from Providence, taking a weird cab where you see an awesome rainbow, and going grocery shopping…

You make a frittata! I hadn’t ever made a 12-egg frittata before, but that day I did. 12 eggs + a diced tomato + some herbs and spices + cheese is how to save a dozen cracked eggs.

And then we ate it.
