It has been the most amazing weekend!
Wow do I have a lot to share with you, but unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures of food!!!
Where it all began….
Yesterday after work I headed home to make a quick dinner before my appointment with the invitation lady, and as I was making dinner PB and I were chatting on the phone… and the doorbell rang. He came and surprised me! He was only in town for about 12 hours but it was so amazing and fun. We had a quick dinner and he joined me for the invitation appointment. We were there for FOUR hours! Can you even believe it?!?! We finalized our invitation design, brainstormed escort card and menu ideas, designed both of those, designed table numbers, and had a blast doing it all! It was so much fun, really. When we got home PB had a little snack and I had a mango and we got cozy on the couch while he did some work and I read my book. Oh it was so relaxing.
Today was also an amazing day!!!
I got up super early and PB and I had a good long chat while drinking tea for me and coffee for him. Then I weighed myself like I do every morning and saw that I’ve lost weight! Over the summer (I mentioned it in a post months ago but I can’t find it) I wrote about how I had put on 4 lbs and felt not good about it and such.. Well after a few months of frustrating hard work I am only 1/2 lb away from that number! That was a great way to start the day of my first DRESS FITTING!
Anywayyyy then I had a quick wheat english muffin with PB and J and PB had a homemade egg and cheese sandwich before we both headed on our way. I had the most AMAZING workout. I did a full body workout with lots of muscle confusion… lunges while doing bicep curls, squats while doing shoulder press, etc. It was amazing. And then I ran an 8 minute mile without any effort! During all that PB was driving home in the cold sunshine.
After I showered and got ready I picked up my auntie and we headed to Priscilla of Boston for my first dress fitting! We had such a fun time! But here’s where the story gets good….
I walk in to my fitting room and when I put on the dress I was freaking out because I couldn’t breathe in it. Also, it just looked terrible on me and I looked like a bowl of ivory chub. I was so unhappy I started crying hard and saying that I looked terrible in my dress and hated it (which is so unlike me as I am the peppiest person ever!!) My aunt and the seamstress didn’t really know what to do about it except say it wasn’t true and then the seamstress, smart lady that she is, went and got the bridal consultant. When the consultant came in she asked if I was wearing it right- no strapless or anything.. and then quickly unzipped my dress and took that off, all the while scolding me for wearing it- she said that my dress had been fit to exactly my size because we had decided that I didn’t want to wear one!!!! It all came back to me then and I remembered. When she removed it the dress fit like a glove. Actually by the time May comes around they will take it in a little but it is just early to do it now. Oh it looked just so beautiful! I feel so excited and happpppppy! What a turn of events!
The whole day ended up being amazing- I got lots of wedding stuff done and more importantly got to have a spectacular day with auntie!
Here are all the things we did/I accomplished for the wedding:
-designed my bustle
-picked out jewelry/veil/hairpiece!!!!!!!!
-shopped around and got a few cute honeymoon outfits!
-had a slamming lunch at Legal Seafood!
I was so excited and had such a great time today that I almost forgot to eat dinner! But my stomach suddenly grumbled like crazy so I had the leftover salad from my lunch. If you ever want a light lunch at Legal get the appetizer size crabcake. It is an amaaaaazing crabcake served next to a salad with apples, walnuts, and a light dressing. The perfect size!
I know this post has no pictures or food but I really felt like sharing! I am on a wedding/family/love high! Happy Saturday!
